overview

Catching ephemeral web images

Cache Me If You Can observes only the selected tab and domain during an explicitly started session. Image bytes received by Firefox are copied, then forwarded unchanged without a second request. A local gallery then lets users inspect, sort, select, download and export their captures.

Capture session

Copy the stream without requesting it again.

The extension does not inspect Firefox’s historical cache. It keeps only responses that pass through the tab after an explicit start, including responses Firefox serves from browser cache during that session.

S—01

Arm a tab

Capture begins only after a popup click and follows the chosen registrable domain.

S—02

Copy without alteration

Every observed image byte is sent to storage, then immediately forwarded to Firefox unchanged.

S—03

Deduplicate without losing context

Identical content is stored once while its URLs and discovery dates remain as occurrences.

S—04

Browse and export

The gallery can filter, select and save images or local ZIP archives.
